A self portrait at the Famous Old man of Storr on the Isle of Skye. When I arrived at the trail head, it was so incredibly foggy outside that it was impossible to even know there was a mountain standing right infant of me. I was about 200 meters away from the Old Man before I could see an outline of this 50 meter tall rock formation. Scottish legend has it that the Old Man of Storr was a giant who resided on the Trotternish Ridge. When he was laid to rest upon his death, his thumb—the “Old Man”—remained partially above ground.
